The Acer Iconia A500 has been designed for rich multimedia entertainment, with the best gaming and web experience. It comes equipped with the latest Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) operating system which has been specifically optimized for tablets.

Being equipped with the Nvidia Tegra 1GHz Dual Core processor the Acer Iconia A500 is able to run and play premium HD arcade games and complex online 3D games. It additional benefits from the multi-touch screen and gyro meter control, which guarantees an entertainment experience on par with the best game consoles.

Recommend to a friend? Yes "Cool device!Just bought it. The battery last for at least 8 hours with 15% remaining according to indicator. Smooth and well responsive.Good WiFi connection. "

Recommend to a friend? No "Not to sure about this yet, had major problems when first got the system sounds would not work, it needed three factory resets and in the last one had to disable auto app restore to get it to work. The web browser is sometimes very slow and typing in boxes can be very laggy its not funny. I did own a Dell streak 7 and had no lag problems at all. For the size of it you would think they would have a full size SD card slot, but no its micro sd the dell has full size and its only a 7" device Problems with the tilt control in some games that have not been updated for honeycomb, making a lot of them unplayable. Great screen, speakers not to bad not as loud as a HP touchpad but good. It so far can only stream flash at 720 not 1080. Another thing the USB ports cannot be used to charge it, so no good for a large sat nav as it needs a 12volt charger. The user interface sometimes slows down a lot to. "

Recommend to a friend? Yes "Great device, just bought it. Honeycomb is very user friendly, well connected, well balanced OS. You will need to download another video player in order to be able watch .avi files though. Great graphics capabilities but lack of HD apps so far. 6 hours of up time with full load (wifi, bluetooth, maximum brightness, video playback). In general, I am very satisfied and would recommend."
