The HTC Desire X is the latest handset in the Desire range.
It brings performance and functionality at an affordable price.
Big screens and quad-core processors are not for everyone and the Desire X is a perfect balance for what most users need and require of a phone.
So yes, this smartphone can make and receive calls, text and picture messages.
Thanks to a 3G data connection and WiFi connectivity you can too connect to the internet from your phone, browse the web, send emails, connect to social networks such as Facebook & Twitter and what’s more, thanks to HTC Sense software, these social networks integrate with your contacts so you can see the latest status updates and profile pictures.
Weighing in at just 114g it is not a heavy phone and has a 1650mAh battery which will last most users a day.
The battery powers this Android smartphone that has a 4” touchscreen display which is a comfortable size to hold in the palm of your hand and in a pocket when not in use.
As this is an Android phone you have access to Google applications and the Google Play store, where you can download thousands more free and paid for applications to expand the scope and opportunities when using the HTC Desire X.
Pre-installed applications include the likes of YouTube, Gmail, GTalk and Navigation to name just a few.
Google Maps/Navigation will allow you to navigate form point A to B across the world for free (data connection required).
There is too a 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus, LED flash and many other enhancements including face detection, geo-tagging, extended depth of field and more.
Store these pictures on the internal 4GB of memory, a microSD memory card (not supplied) or on the 25GB of FREE cloud storage you get from DropBox (for 2 years).
You can too use this memory for music storage and with Beats Audio built-in you can be sure of an enhanced audio experience.
A Dual-core 1GHz processor will keep things running smoothly even when running multiple applications.
