Overview of HTC One X (Grey)

The HTC One X is an incredible superphone. The large screen and the powerful quad-core processor make it perfect for gaming, watching videos and surfing the net. The advanced camera technology with HTC ImageSense goes beyond point and shoot, allowing you to take amazing pictures in any conditions. You have a true digital camera on the HTC One X. Beats Audio integration provides an advanced audio experience whatever you are listening to and there is even 25GB free Cloud storage via Dropbox. With the capability to wirelessly share anything from your phone and view it on your TV the HTC One X is the most advanced smartphone yet.
So let’s have a look at the main selling points of the HTC One X, starting with the 8MP camera. The amazing camera technology with HTC ImageSense goes beyond point and shoot, allowing you to take amazing pictures in any conditions. You can instantly capture shots without delay, take excellent photos in low light and take multiple shots with continuous shooting. You can even snap a picture while and after shooting HD video, so you will never miss a photo again. Record the scene and capture your photos later.

This is undoubtedly the best camera on an HTC phone to date, offering a range of advanced features, as well as some simple yet highly effective improvements. Take a picture in just 0.7 seconds from a locked device. Functions such as quick focus, the ability to snap photos from HD video, continuous shooting, automatic burst mode and dual capture buttons for photo/video are simple features, but contribute tremendously to the overall camera experience of the HTC One X.
Also included with the One X is an industry leading F2.0 wide angle lens, meaning the camera performs superbly in low-light conditions. A proprietary HTC image chip allows for fast processing of photos/videos and an auto-adjusting flash provides 8 different settings to produce the most natural looking photo in any given situation. There’s also auto-tracking so that the subject remains in focus even when moving, plus a 1.3MP front facing camera for video calls.

The HTC One X is the first smartphone to launch with a quad-core processor, offering unrivalled performance for seamless multi-tasking and a super quick response when gaming, surfing the web and downloading videos. You may be concerned about battery life, an additional core manages this to ensure it lasts as long as possible.
It also comes with 1GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, of which 26GB is accessible to store music, videos photos and other files.

When it comes to sound features, the HTC One X is a market leader thanks to the in-built Beats Audio technology. Providing an authentic studio sound, Beats Audio creates an enhanced listening experience, whether it be for YouTube, Netflix or your downloaded music and videos. This is complemented perfectly by the 25GB of free cloud storage that is provided by DropBox (for 2 years - charges apply after this time), which enables you to have all your files, music and photos with you when you’re on the go.

The media features do not end there. The wireless HTC Media Link HD connects your superphone to your TV. A simple three finger swipe lets you push content, such as a movie, from your phone on to your TV (that has a media link connected). You can even multi-task by taking a call or reading email on your HTC One X at the same time, but the movie remains playing on the larger display. This great feature is perfect for a complete yet portable home entertainment solution.
Besides the 8MP camera, quad-core processor, Beats Audio technology, Dropbox storage and wireless HDMI functionality, what else does the HTC One X have to offer? A hell of a lot. It comes with the latest version of Android (4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich), as well as the new version of HTC Sense (4.0). This combination of cutting-edge software and hardware offers the most powerful experience available in a smartphone to date.
All of this incredible technology is somehow packed into a handset that measures just 9.29mm in thickness. It also manages to fit in GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and NFC technology, plus there’s quad-band GSM and 3G connectivity. As if all this isn’t enough, the HTC One X also offers video and audio out via MHL (adaptor sold separately). Of course, you’ll want a nice big display to go with such an incredible device, and the One X has this covered with a 4.7 inch touch screen, with a 1280 x 720 resolution.

HTC One X Review
Below are a couple of quotes from our HTC One X review. To read the full review, click here.
"Besides the screen on the HTC One X which is phenomenal, there is another aspect of this phone that jumps out at the user early on. It is the performance."
"There will always be something better around the corner and despite the One X being a little too large for my tastes, it is in my opinion the best of the Android bunch at this time. It is also probably the best smartphone in the world at this time when the sum of all its parts is considered. HTC is back, and back with a bang."

"HTC have got themselves back in the game, with this beautifully designed phone. The One X is very light. Videos and pictures look stunning when viewed from the stunning screen, which is perhaps the best out there at the moment. The camera is also another positive. The burst mode is brilliant and the shutter speed is eceptionally fast. Beats audio baked into the audio is another plus. Sense has been updated (Sense 4) has been slimmed down and is much more responsive. ICS (Android 4.0) straight out of the box again moves Android in the right direction. |
