The HTC Rhyme is a smartphone that offers a completely new approach to notifications and accessories. Coming complete with one of HTC's most innovative accessories to date, the glowing charm, the Rhyme has a sleek unibody design and stylish colour scheme. Known by the codename of the HTC Bliss, the Rhyme intends to offer a smartphone experience that is stylish yet practical.
The Rhyme's glowing charm is an accessory that's bound to catch your eye, which is exactly why it's there. The charm is attached to the Rhyme via the handset's microUSB connection. It can then be dangled outside of a pocket or bag, glowing to notify you of an incoming text message, phone call or update, minimising missed calls and notifications.
The accessory range for the HTC Rhyme also includes a wireless Bluetooth headset, which matches the device's colour scheme and is extremely discreet thanks to its compact design. There's also a wireless Bluetooth speaker available - perfect for use in the car - and a docking station that can be used as an alarm clock or music centre.
As well as its thoughtful accessory range, the Rhyme has an impressive set of smartphone features. The 5MP camera features an instant shutter with auto focus and LED flash. A setting called Action Burst Scene automatically takes five snaps of a photo so that you can chose the best one, while Portrait mode adds a 'beautify skin effect' that allows you to polish a photo's appearance after taking it.
Besides its camera and accessory line-up, the Rhyme has plenty more to offer. It's powered by a 1GHz processor, running Android 2.3 Gingerbread and the new HTC Sense 3.5 skin. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G and DLNA, so media sharing and internet access are never a problem. There's 1GB of internal storage, plus microSD expansion up to 32GB.
