Overview of Huawei IDEOS

The Huawei Ideos is a cost effective Google Android smartphone that runs version 2.2, the latest edition of the rapidly developing operating system.

One of the first to officially ship with Android 2.2 as a owner of the Ideos, you benefit from Flash 10.1 player support (allowing more web pages to appear and operate correctly on screen), being able to load applications onto a memory card, using your device as a WiFi router and USB modem (tethering) and automatic updating of applications.

No longer are you limited on connectivity options. Use the Ideos as a wireless internet connection between several laptops or wire it direct to your PC. Android 2.2 gives you enhanced capabilities not available on older versions of the OS.

A fully customisable operating system, with the Ideos and Android 2.2 you can quickly and simply make the device personal to you customising the home screens, adding applications and changing the appearance.

A 2.8 inch touch screen with a g-sensor will alter the image on the screen to either portrait or landscape mode, depending upon how you are holding the device, whilst a light sensor will adjust the screen brightness depending upon the lighting around you, whilst the proximity sensor will turn off the screens backlight when the phone is positioned close to your face. Innovative features like this help preserve battery life and allow you to keep mobile for longer.

GPS is built into the Ideos so street level navigation is easy and convenient on this compact phone as is internet browsing. The flash support means all your favourite web pages display perfectly whether you are connecting through the WiFi 802.11b/g/n or HSDPA connection. With the Huawei Ideos streaming music and from online sources is actually possible
