The Motorola DEFY MINI is the smaller and younger brother in the range of the DEFY family.
Designed to do just as much, the MINI is a bit more portable and has a slightly lower specification to make it more cost effective.
Still very much ‘lifeproof’ themed, the DEFY MINI is water and dust resistant as well as having scratch resistant Corning Gorilla Glass. Whether you work or play in environments that normal phones can not stand or whether you are a bit clumbsy and you want something that isn’t going to break every 5 minutes then the DEFY MINI might just be the answer.
A 600MHz processor powers the Google Android smartphone so it is capable for web browsing, calls, emails and social networking, but it is not a processor for the big multi-tasking and gaming users but all the same it will handle this just not those who are used to high end processing power.
The MINI has a 3 megapixel rear camera and a front facing VGA camera for video calls over WiFi or the 3G networks it can connect to. DLNA and Bluetooth are present on the device too.
A 3.2 inch HVGA touchscreen display acts as the main interface for controlling the phone and is not a bad size for web browsing and networking but portability is key here as is battery life. A smaller screen paired with the 1650mAh battery should keep you going for some time.
You might want to use the DEFY MINI for music, well that is fine. The microSDHC card slot supports 32GB cards, so you can store plenty of music and listen to it through headphones connected to the 3.5mm jack. What’s more, because it is reisitant to water, you can go outside and completeyour water sports or other activities in the rain without fear.
The DEFY MINI has a string feature set that appeals to those who need a phone that is a little bit more rugged.
