OtterBox Cases
Simply put OtterBox are the leading case manufacturers when it comes to protecting your smartphone, tablet or piece of mobile technology.
Whilst other companies focus on stylish, colourful and creative cases, OtterBox focus on protection and productivity. Now this does not mean that they sacrifice design and style, but they come in very few colours, more often than not, plain and simple black.
Their range is ever expanding to cater for the latest in mobile computing products, from HTC Sensation right through to the Apple iPhone, they normally have a case for your device.
In terms of cases, they offer 4 options, Impact, Commuter, Defender and Reflex. What is the difference? The level of protection each case provides.
Impact – The simplest of protective cases, that is made of compression moulded silicone with an inner coring that absorbs impact. Shielding the device from lint, the case has a texturing that provides a non-stick grippy factor. The included screen protector then protects the sensitive device screen against scratches.

Commuter – A slim, yet protective case that is made up of two components. A shock absorbing silicone mid-layer and a one piece custom moulded polycarbonate shell protect your devices back and sides from bumps and scratches. With a smooth finish it glides easily in and out of pockets and the included device specific screen protector provides added protection to the device display.

Defender – The most rugged solution with a multi component protection system. Device protection does not come much more serious than this. The case is made of a high impact polycarbonate shell that protects the whole device wrapped in a durable silicone cover with port and button covers. A clear membrane sits over the device screen to protect and allow in the case use of the touchscreen. The case then sits in an optional, but provided belt holder/clip. A rugged shell, the Defender case clips in and out of this holder and can be attached to a belt, trousers etc. with the heavy duty, 360 degree belt clip.

Reflex – The case is compact and lightweight, yet inside incorporates revolutionary, rule-defying technology. Reflex surrounds each device with a cushion of air that upon impact flexes and rebounds to its original form. Focused on protecting the occupant, just like the crumple zone of a car, this case not only takes a hit but recoils and springs back, ready to protect again and again.

Want a little more convincing about just how good these cases are. Take a look at this genuine video. We dropped a BlackBerry in a Defneder case over 35ft onto concrete and it survived. It popped out of the case, but the case and phone were still in perfect working order.
