The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 is Samsung’s follow up device to the Galaxy Tab, one of the first iPad alternatives to hit the market.
The second iteration of the Galaxy Tab will now compete with the likes of the Amazon Kindle Fire, although it has a slightly more powerful feature set.
The Galaxy Tab 2 will be Samsung’s first tablet to run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box. Combined with its 1GHz dual-core processor, navigation is seamless and this really is a powerful piece of kit.
As well as an internal storage capacity of 8/16/32GB, the Galaxy Tab 2 also features a microSD slot, expandable up to 32GB. With Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth and Samsung AllShare, there are plenty of connectivity options for browsing and sharing media.
The Tab 2 maintains the 7” display of its predecessor with a WSVGA (1024 x 600) resolution. On the back there’s a 3MP camera, with a VGA web cam on the front. There’s also a 3.5mm connection for headphones and MicroUSB 2.0 with USB hosting.
