"this battery has the same sort of finish as the original 701, and gives the 701 a battery life way beyond the original. My original battery was pretty poor, barely giving me 2 hours use, if that. Now I can get 4 hours without a problem.
The only thing you should know is that it is bulkier, and the extra bulk sticks out at the back, meaning you can't fold the screen back as you could with the original battery. This affects the viewing angle of the screen, which is not so good."

"So I have been using this battery for a year or two now. I had to send the first one back to clove because it was discharging below 50% too quickly. The new one that clove sent me had the same problem. I get about 3 or 3,5 hours' use, and if I am not careful, it will shut down by itself because it takes about 10 minutes to go from 30% to 0%. Moreover, because the eee pc (701) itself does not let me see the actual capacity (shows only percentages, not the the actual mAh, and it acts as if the percentage is the actual mAh) remaining in the battery, I do not know its condition...
Though I do not recommend this battery, clove's service was great. They sent me the first one without delay and processed its exchange promptly without any problems. Moreover, they let me return the product quite a while after I purchased it from them, which was very nice of them (I had to pay shipping). "
