"Acknowledge dimensions are probably a bit to small for heavy duty work , we would have preferred 110 x 17 x 73 mm. Well lets wait till sales commence in June/July 2008 as the Xperia X1 is not yet (really no where!) on the market !"

"I've had mine for a week or so now, and the Xperia X-1 is a great phone. Easy and stylish music/video interface, smooth video playback on a crystal screen, very reasonable sound through the supplied headphones, and a responsive touch interface.
Radio could be better, but then I work in a metal cage on the 13th floor, and I am only let out in the evenings.
GPS is super accurate, and fun when used with Google maps, and internet connectivity through wi-fi, 3G and GSM is easy with respectable speeds on all three.
It comes with Opera browser too, a massive improvement on the standard Windows IE.
Windows 6.1 is improved with the use of S-E's panels system, which are easy to download and install, and the phone is nowhere near as buggy, slow, crash prone, as my previous HTC WZRD Mk1 (T-Mobile Vario).
Mine was supplied through another company, but Clove are good, and I've dealt with them before when they had piles of Psion stuff... A long time ago!
It ain't cheap, but it is clever, has loads of software already available, plus java apps too, and if you aren't too "flash" a "harrry" it won't attract unwanted attention like other touchscreen phones.
Basically it's a smart phone for those in the know."

Not only is the X1 refined from top to bottom, but it brings a new interface paradigm that challenges our idea of what a Windows Mobile Today screen should be. I was super impressed by its high performance and excellent battery life, and was refreshed by the sensitivity and clarity of the high-resolution touchscreen. If you're big on one-handed use, this device is not for you. But for everyone else who desire a powerhouse of a device, this is definitely it."
