"Seems to be everything the TyTNII should have been!! I hope they have sorted the hardware video drivers this time!!"

"Here's the follow up review I promised a couple of weeks ago. First point is to say that Clove's after sales support is as good as it was pre-sale - responsive & knowledgable - what more could you ask. And so important when you're buying technology. What I do find annoying is reviews from people who clearly haven't read the instructions, either on the phone or in the manual. I have seen a number of ridiculous 'faults' reported because of this & it could unfairly affect the decision of those doing their research. The classic was someone on another site saying the phone was, quote, "..a rip-off.." because various functions kept being operated by the touch screen when he had it in his pocket. No it doesn't if you use it properly! The point about a phone like this is that it's loaded with personalisation features. Take the trouble to explore & use them & you have a device which will provide just about everything you want, either at home or on the move. Is it perfect? Of course it isn't but it's pretty close & achieves my objective of the alternative of carrying around a laptop & a mobile phone. Because it's SIM only, I was able to negotiate a month to month contract at half the price it would have been. Yet another advantage of buying a phone independent of your mobile operator. And it isn't clogged up with operator specific software either. In fact, I negotiated a wrapped mobile & broadband deal saving me £400 a year! So, with all the savings, plus the sale of my old phone, my new Touch Pro will pay for itself within a few months. Next time you look at a 'free' phone (or even a laptop) at so much a month, you'll realise you're paying more for the phone than if you'd bought it independently. To conclude, my investment in the HTC Touch Pro has been very sound with the added advantage of having Clove's first class support. What price can you put on that? "

"Never been happier with a phone and I've been buying HTC devices since the original Orange SPV. There is no slowdown in the Touch 3D interface except occasionally on the weather tab as it updates the data (understandably). The device itself is incredibly speedy and they've packed a huge number of features into it, some software, some hardware. iPhone killer indeed."
John (Southampton)
"This Phone/camera/messenger/PDA is an all in one device at a very high standard of innovation but it needs a continuous software support from HTC. The OCR soft ware is wonderful but limited to business card. the camera quality is fair and the communication side is WOW. Buttons are fewer than expected but compensated for by a wonderful Touch flo 3D interface. If one affords, that the right choice for those who would like to carry the ultimate device or N.1 in the Globe. (For the time being obviously). "

"The Good: Has a built-in radio, great keyboard, hi-res screen and is smaller than the TyTnII I'm replacing. Opera browser is a bit flaky, but brilliantly conceived and works well with the touch wheel. Jury's Out: Touch-Flo 3D is pretty, good in some applications, pointless in others. Why would you want to see only part of a single e-mail, tucked into an envelope? Style over function. Almost no customisable options either. The Bad: Screen does not tilt with keyboard out - best thing about the TyTn II. No scroll wheel, nor can you scroll with the touch wheel. No shortcuts for the camera, so when you want to grab that quick shot you're fiddling with multiple nested menus to get it working. Inexplicably, screen turns off when the phone connects - try working your way though a helpline menu with a on-screen keyboard when that happens! Very few user-customisable buttons. Utterly useless manual - I discovered what it could and couldn't do only by sitting on the net for a day or two. On balance: lots to recommend it, probably the Best In Show, but somehow disappointing considering how many of the good things about the TyTnII has been left out."

"When buying phones at this price level, careful definition of your needs & detailed research into phone & supplier options is an absolute must. Initial research gave a short list of phones & potential suppliers to talk to. The pre-sales advice from Clove was professional, knowledgeable & unbiased. Having decided on the HTC Touch Pro, delivery was outstanding - ordered at lunchtime & received the next morning. The HTC box was very classy & I hoped it didn't flatter to deceive. So far, a week later, it hasn't! As a regular Symbian user, Windows Mobile is new to me & read many conflicting opinions during my research. However, the best way to work WM, & the phone, is to ignore the manuals largely & just explore. If you're already a Windows user, WM presents no problems. So, after a week, here are my first impressions: Clove - excellent WM - nearly excellent HTC Touch Pro - pretty excellent Mobile operators - jury's still out One thing is for sure. If you are wanting a medium to high end phone, always try & buy it sim free from an independent supplier like Clove. On the 'from over function' front, two of my friends have iPhones but now wish they had an HTC Touch Pro. But as a City editor once said to me, "Pepsi is better than Coca Cola but the latter is better marketed!" I will return with another review once I have had more time with the phone. "

"Seems best and smallest Palmtop with lots of memory"
Arjunkumar (India)
"I want no i need this phone, a serious i-phone killer! I hate apple long live HTC!!!!"
Joshua (Pontypool (UK))
"Just received mine and its a great upgrade over Toshiba G910. Far better Touch Flo 3D than TOuch Diamond and a plus on style and screen res comparing to TyTn II. Keyboard works as a treat and GPS without issues on CoPilot and TomTom. Alot of program RAM and cannot ask for more. Rather expensive SIM-Free but well worth the money"
Kirk (London)
"I have heard that the HTC Diamond is very slow, so slow that it is almost unusable. I hope that this model is better !! I have ordered one and am a little worried. "
John (Spain)
"It is the touch flo interface that was reported to be slow, not the actual device. Touch flo speed has been improved in later roms."
Steve (London)
"Have it. Love it. Broke it by subjecting it to heavy rain up Snowdon. Buying another."
James Puddicombe (Farnham)
"Oh wow, I thought TyTNII was hot. I can't stop drooling over this one!I like the fact that it has more memory and it's not as bulky."
shawn (Cayman Islands)
"Keep your iPhones, i'll upgrade my Kasier to a Touch Pro plz :D"
