Blackvue DR750LW (2016) Overview

Updated for 2016, the high quality BlackVue DR750LW-2CH is at the peak of current dash cam technology.

You can drive safe in the knowledge that your entire journey has been recorded, both in front and behind, in top quality 1080p high definition.

Should the worst happen and you find yourself involved in a Road Traffic Incident, you'll have all the proof you need for insurance and legal purposes. Of course it's not always about preparing for something bad; perhaps you just want a record of a long and peaceful drive through the valleys or on some of the world's excellent roads.

New Features

A leading model for over a year, the DR750 has some new tricks in the 2016 edition.

Check front & rear video in real-time with the Touch LCD

BlackVue have included a simple interface for the touch screen so anyone can easily use the DR750. A picture-in-picture (PIP) function for the simultaneous playback of front & rear videos is supported.

OTA Firmware upgrades

If the BlackVue has a firmware upgrade ready then you can easily install this wirelessly over Wi-Fi. No more taking the BlackVue indoors and connecting it to a PC or laptop, you can have it connect to your home Wi-Fi connection and update overnight in the driveway!

High temperature power cut-off

We all know the inside of your car can get blisteringly hot on a summer's day. If the temperature rises too far, the power supply to the BlackVue is cut off automatically to protect the unit from extreme heat. Useful if you have the unit powered on in parking mode.

Both of the cameras shipped with the BlackVue DR750LW are capable of recording in Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution at 30 frames per second. This makes for high fidelity recordings that can pick out fine details such as number plates at a distance, or the actions of an individual inside their car, through their windscreen.

The main camera sensor is a specialised 2.4 MP Sony Exmor, with another 2 MP for the rear channel.

A diagonal viewing angle of 146 degrees is available on the main camera, with 129 degrees on the rear module.

The 4 inch capacitive touchscreen has a resolution of 800 x 480 and is perfectly suited to providing a simple interface for reviewing recordings and changing settings. There's also a dedicated Picture-In-Picture (PIP) mode so you can view both channels on one screen.

Whilst looking at recorded footage you can also keep the BlackVue DR750LW-2CH recording in real-time. The screen also offers an easy way to navigate the settings and the customize the options to your liking. The mobile apps for Android, Windows and iOS devices also allow playback and a live feed from your Blackvue DR750LW-2CH thanks to the built-in WiFi.

Capturing evidence in both video and audio is easy. Event and Parking modes are available. Event mode is triggered by the 3-axis G-Sensor. When triggered, by sudden motion or impact, the camera goes into Event Mode and saves the file so that it won't be recorded over.

With the latest motion detection technology the Blackvue DR750LW-2CH can automatically activate and record videos when motion is detected around your vehicle. It helps collect evidence even when you are not in the car.

Switch to the photo mode to collect photo evidence with the built-in battery you can take it out of the car to get close-up photos as collateral evidence. The built -in microphone also allows you to collect verbal evidence and noises from within the car.

The optional GPS antenna comes with a 20cm cable and can be positioned as required for optimum signal strength. The speed and location data captured can be viewed on Google Maps.
