Raise the limits
The tilt mechanism has been completely redesigned to create AAS Ultra, with a precision-engineered mechanism that raises the rear of ScreenPad Plus by up to 20 mm, tilting it by 12° when the laptop is opened. This positions ScreenPad Plus at the ideal viewing angle for easy cross-screen operation with the main touchscreen. It also enhances cooling by allowing 38% more airflow than the previous generation. This in turn reduces the laptop's surface temperature by up to 7°C, increasing both comfort and CPU performance.

In fact, both surprisingly and counter-intuitively, the 120 Hz / 0.2 ms OLED display is faster than a 165 Hz / 3 ms LCD IPS display — because it reduces ghosting to an indiscernible level. Simply put, this means even fast-moving visuals are smoother and clearer than ever.

It seems counter-intuitive that a 120 Hz / 3 ms OLED display could outperform a 165 Hz / 3 ms LCD display rival — so how is this possible? Well, the LCD panel takes precisely 6.06 ms to refresh each frame, but it takes another 3 ms of response time to process the correct colors. That’s a total of 9.06 ms to fully load the image. A 144 Hz / 12.5 ms LCD display takes even longer, at 19.44 ms to show the full, final frame of each image. But with its extreme-speed response, a 120 Hz / 0.2 ms OLED display takes just 8.5 ms to process the same — making it even faster than a 165 Hz / 3 ms LCD display.

70% blue-light reduction for eye care
Blue light is known to cause visual discomfort and disrupt sleep quality. However, due to the nature of the special organic lighting materials in an OLED display, ASUS OLED laptops emit 70% less harmful blue light4, and they’re also certified by TÜV Rheinland and SGS. More importantly, unlike traditional blue-light filters, shifting the spectrum means there’s no need to compromise color accuracy.

EYE CARE
Eye care, even more critical for children
Since children’s eyes are not fully developed, with a more transparent lens and cornea, harmful blue light can penetrate the eye more easily, potentially causing premature aging of the retina. Research7 has shown that in a five-year-old child’s eyes, approximately 60% of the received blue-light emissions pass through to the retina, compared to only around 20% for a 60-year-old adult. With ASUS OLED displays, the significantly lower blue light levels mean better eye care for children.

Pioneering sustainability
For the first time, we used a special process to transform the aluminum lid into a plasma ceramic aluminum exclusive to ASUS. This process uses pure water, and no organic compounds, strong acids, or heavy metals are required. Instead, this environmentally low-impact bath-based method produces a physical and chemical transformation of the aluminum. This results in increased wear resistance, corrosion protection, thermal management, hardness, and lifespan.

The color, shades, porosity, and texture are further fine-tuned using temperature and electricity. Incredibly, this makes each lid individually unique. No two are alike! And even better, the alloy will ensure that the laptop’s unique look will last for its entire lifetime.
