Dell Venue Pro

Overview of Dell Venue Pro

The Dell Venue Pro is the first Windows Phone 7 device from Dell.

The Dell Venue Pro is a big device that is big in features, big on power and big on making an impact. Running the newest version of the Windows Phone operating system, version 7 the Venue Pro benefits from all of the highly publicised features of Windows Phone.

A sleek user interface which is more friendly with greater integration with social networks but still retaining acceptance in the corporate workplace the Dell Venue Pro offers a lot to a wide range of users in varying positions.

Whether you are a high flying executive or a stay at home mum who needs to keep connected with friends and family the Dell Venue Pro is ideal.

All the standard phone functions including SMS, MMS and phone calls come as standard, but e-mail, instant messaging and web browsing too are all possible.

With a 4.1" touchscreen display use your fingers to navigate the screen, enter information and view your favourite sites. Bright and crisp the Dell's screen makes for great experience. Gorilla glass has too been included on the Dell, a new tougher glass screen means less scratches and potential damage to the screen when things like

A 5 megapixel camera allows you to capture images and videos and using the on board WiFi, Bluetooth or cellular connection you can share this or other content stored on the device with others easily.

When texting, emailing or writing a document it can be a bit fiddly to use an on screen keyboard even if it is very good. With the Dell Venue Pro there is a slide out QWERTY keyboard to make your life a little easier. Thanks to it's slider design you can hide or reveal the keyboard when needed.

Feature rich devices like this need a sizable battery. Dell include a 1400mAh one in the Venue Pro, which will help get you through a working day. Should you run out of power or need to charge the device then the new common charging connection of 'microUSB' i included on the Venue Pro so there is no need to hunt round for a specific charger as you will already have one or a colleague will.

This is the most anticipated phone. Your second photo actually shows the Dell Venue, and NOT the Venue Pro!

This is a wonderful phone. It is slick in operation and very well built. Early problems when using wi-fi, which caused occasional lock-ups, were cured with the long anticipated Dell firmware release.

Would definitely get this again if I lost or damaged it etc.

"This is the most anticipated phone."

So much so i wonder how many people are going to give up waiting for this and jump to the HTC 7 pro.

This was supposed to be release October, then mid Nov, then mid Dec, end Dec, begining Jan, begining Feb, mid Fed, early March, now Mid March. Get it together Dell, if you want a crack a this market stop delaying your product.

I personally keep looking at the 7 Pro, as i hate my iphone and only got it as a stop gap, which i should have only had for a couple of days, whats going on. get up and speak to the Service providers, get a deal worked out and get the phone to market. not sure i'm willing to wait another 5 months!

Windows Mobile 7 is a great product and it needs a fantastic device like this to give it a push in the right direction, but delays are not helping at all!!

I Love windows 7 and i'm sure the product is great, but not sure i could say to a friend, this phone will be great, i've only been waiting for 5 months, buts its ok, it'll be about mid March! it is for this reason i have given the 3 stars and not recomended it!!
