Never Settle. Doing things differently, OnePlus have caught the imagination of a number of smartphone fans. The OnePlus 5 is powered by OxygenOS; this is based on Android, with several optimisations and additions to create a smoother, more streamlined experience.
OnePlus deliver industry-leading hardware, with the current top of the range Snapdragon 835 powering the OnePlus 5. This is coupled with your choice of 6 or 8GB of RAM. The user experience with OxygenOS is optimised for the OnePlus 5 hardware and intelligently learns your usage patterns, providing a slick interface and power-saving algorithms in the background.

For the past few years, OnePlus have been disrupting the mobile industry's establishment. OnePlus products have typically been provided with a very high specification at a price that almost embarrasses the big names such as Samsung and Apple.
OnePlus phones have therefore been in high demand, although supply has been limited.
The OnePlus 5 is now the handset where the company pushes forward, offering a fully realised, premium smartphone with absolute top of the range specifications. They may no longer be seriously undercutting the competition, however, a OnePlus 5 is still an excellent option when looking at premium phones, and continues to represent great value for money.
Like many devices available today, the OnePlus 5 features a dual camera array. The main camera has a 16MP sensor with f/1.7 aperture and electronic/gyro stabilisation. The secondary 20MP sensor features a f/2.6 aperture.
Phase detection autofocus is included for super-fast focussing, with the dual-cameras providing depth of field effects and post-processing enhancements. You can also shoot in a 'professional' mode with access to settings including white balance, ISO, shutter speed etc.
You can even capture your photos in RAW format for fine post-editing.
It's not just the main cameras that impress either. The selfie camera is rated 16 MP with a f/2.0 aperture and gyro stabilisation, so your selfies, group shots and video calls will have incredible clarity, even in low light.
Running low on power? Don't panic! With a 3,300 mAh the OnePlus 5 is already packing a fairly large battery. If it does happen to run low though, OnePlus' Dash Charge technology will get you up to speed in no time at all.
In just 30 minutes, Dash Charge can provide over 50% charge, which should be enough to get most of us through the day.
Fast and intuitive, OxygenOS is based on Android, with specialised enhancements and apps for better performance.
This includes redesigns of all the core Android apps and menus for a consistent look and feel, as well as better integrating settings & notifications into your workflow.
Additional OxygenOS features add value to a system that already moves faster than standard Android.
Switch on Reading Mode and turn your OnePlus 5 into an e-reader. The display will be optimised for reading monochrome text with better grey-scale mapping and blue-light filtering.
You can toggle Reading Mode on or off at any time, and also set it to activate when you enter specific apps.
Gaming DND Mode
When you're engrossed in a game, there's nothing worse than getting a notification which interrupts your flow.
With DND mode, your games go full screen and notifications are silenced. The navigation soft keys are also disabled to avoid you accidentally pressing back or home.
Want to keep certain files, pictures or downloads stored securely? With Secure Box you can hide away particular items, making them accessible only with your fingerprint or a 6 digit PIN.
Items in Secure Box are automatically encrypted and hidden from the standard phone storage menu as well.
