HP Elite X3 (SIM Free / UK)
We don’t usually associate Hewlett Packard with smartphones but their latest device, the HP Elite X3, is the phone that is simply built for business. Developed with the purpose to bring the user ultra-fast performance and desktop productivity the HP Elite X3 is a true enterprise solution.
SIM Free / Unlocked UK stock
Clove will supply SIM Free / Unlocked UK specification stock of the HP Elite X3. The handsets are compatible with all mobile networks across the UK and Europe.
This means you can use a SIM card from a network provider of your choice. The handset is branded only with the manufacturer's logos and no network branding.
The Elite X3 has 2 x nano-sized SIM slots, making this a Dual SIM phone.
This means you can have one or two SIMs on the phone at any one time. Use both a personal and work SIM card in the same phone or maybe a local and international SIM, the choice is yours. Or if you need only one SIM slot, leave the other empty.
Please Note: The second SIM slot only functions if no microSD memory card is being used. You have the option of 2 SIM cards and no memory card or 1 SIM card and 1 memory card. You cannot use 2 SIM cards and a memory card in the phone at the same time.

As an IT department, you may need to provide your colleagues with mobile devices to work on the go.
You wish to ensure it meets your corporate security policies, is easy to deploy, support and manage whilst giving employee satisfaction.
If you are the end user and your IT team provides you with a smartphone, you want a mobile device that allows you to do what you need on the go with access to your corporate data along with the ability to work efficiently and productively.
The HP Elite x3 combines PC power and productivity, tablet portability, and smartphone connectivity in a sleek and secure device that can dock with your screens and keyboards when you need to work big.
With next generation computing technology built in, as a member of an IT team or as an employee using the device on a day to day basis, the x3 is a solution that works for all.
Windows 10 & Continuum
Windows has been designed with simplicity in mind. Enjoy seamless access to the Windows 10 experiences from your PC, tablet and phone. First draft on your phone. Then the final presentation on your laptop.
With fantastic integration to OneDrive and Office365, by saving to the cloud, you can access files, videos and photos from any of your devices.
Cortana is your very own personal assistant, and is now available on Windows 10, meaning she works in-sync with all of your devices. So if you create a reminder using Cortana on your PC or tablet, she’ll alert you to it on your phone. She’s there to make your life easier.
Windows Continuum lets you connect the Elite x3 to an optional dock which, when connected, will allow you to use it with an external monitor, a keyboard, and a mouse, for a desktop computer like experience.
Office apps and Outlook scale up to create a big screen-optimized work environment that makes you more productive. It’s a PC-like experience that’s powered by your phone.
Desktop anywhere is a feature that means the HP Elite X3 can expand into a laptop called the Mobile Extender. This is essentially a shell of a notebook that has a 12.5-inch screen, a 1080p HD display and a working trackpad and keyboard. However, it does not come with internal components like a processor, GPU, RAM and other hardware you would expect to find in a regular laptop. This is where the Elite X3 comes in and gives you all the power and hardware you need by delivering it through Miracast and WiGig technologies.
As desirable as a mobile device is, by its very nature it is easy to mislay, forget or to potentially get into the wrong hands. Should this happen you want to be safe in the knowledge that the important data on the device is protected from those who may have less than genuine intent.
The Elite X3 from HP has you covered.
Dual biometric authentication with Iris recognition and a Fingerprint reader with Encryption, FIPS 140-2 Certification.
The Qualcomm processor has secure boot, Unified Image Encryption (256 key) and Full Disk Encryption (256 key) and fTPM 2.0, whilst the Windows platform offers BitLocker Encryption (128 key), Enterprise Grade VPN – SSL, Microsoft MDM – Intune and Reset Protection.
The Windows 10 OS, Continuum and Enterprise Security ticks many of the important boxes, but to make the best use of the Elite X3, it needs to work well for you or your team.
From taking calls to handling emails to navigating from point A to B, the Elite X3 needs to feel good in the hand, to be responsive, and offer the flexibility to handle the tasks you need it to complete.
Thankfully HP has not failed to pay attention to this and it is safe to say the Elite X3 looks great and feels good in hand given the physical size, weight and the fact that it is IP and MIL Spec 810G rated.
Yes, you read that right, this stylish looking smartphone has been designed to withstand water and dust as well as surviving falls onto concrete from a height.
Drop it by mistake into fresh water and it will survive at a depth of 1m for up to 30 minutes.
Accidentally knock it off your desk or let it slip out of your hand when removing from a bag or pocket, the X3 is designed to resist and survive the impact, yet from looking at it, you would not know.
The HP Elite X3 is a device that can certainly be put into the ‘Phablet’ bracket when we are considering large screen smartphones.
With a 5.96-inch screen this display beats most of the big screen players with its size and, with a 1440 x 2560 resolution screen, it is also competing with the best. That being said the Elite X3 does have very minimal bezels so may not feel as big in your hand as you might expect.
With a maximum brightness of 550 nits and a pixel per inch count of 494 images look fantastic with rich detail and good colour balance.
Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and an anti-reflective coating assist with reducing scratches, impact damage and improve readability in sunlight.
No matter what you do with the X3, it has been designed to offer the best experience possible.
Putting the power of the PC in the palm of your hand, the Elite X3 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and is partnered with 4GB of RAM for efficient handling of apps and tasks.
Slow down and lag is not an issue on the X3 thanks to such high-end processing power.
A smartphone is dependent on its connectivity options for true flexibility.
The X3 has Dual SIM card slots allowing you to have not 1 but 2 SIM cards in the handset at any one time, allowing you to do away with that second phone.
Bluetooth, WiFi, 4G connectivity, GPS, NFC are all present, as is the latest USB connection, USB Type-C, the fully reversible connection that, on the HP, supports DisplayPort and USB hosting.
A rear 16-megapixel camera with LED Flash and front facing 8-megapixel camera allow you to capture the moment in the form of a photo or a video.
Crisp and clear images come to life on the large display and even in low light detail is picked up thanks to intelligent camera optics.
Store the photos and video on the internal memory or take advantage of the microSD memory card slot for extra storage if required.
A very appealing design feature you will notice on the front of the device, other than the screen, is the compact but powerful Bang & Olufsen stereo speakers. This is perhaps as good as it gets when it comes to speaker and brand quality on a smartphone, and the speaker grille also has an equalizer-like pattern to provide a real look of quality.
Add into this mix, 3 omnidirectional microphones and whether you are playing some music when relaxing or using the Elite X3 for a conference call you can be assured of fantastic call and audio quality.
All this capability means the X3 needs a substantial power source.
Built into the handset is a very large 4150mAh battery that supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0, meaning fast charging when your battery is low.
When you don’t require a fast charge or want to have cable-free charging, just sit the X3 on a Qi or PMA wireless charging pad and watch the battery recharge.
The HP Elite X3 is for the serious mobile worker who wants and needs the best mobile device with the powerful and capable Windows 10 operating system.
Available SIM-free and off-contract, you can purchase this device from Clove today.
Please Note: The HP Elite X3 is waterproof and protected against dust, however, you should not put the device completely underwater or expose it to seawater, salt water, chlorinated water or liquids such as drinks. Abuse and improper use of the device will invalidate the warranty.
